Departmental Disaster/Emergency Coordinators, Disaster Response Workers, and Employees whose work involves continuing crucial operations/services should check with their supervisors regarding whether they are required to report to work. Gov. Josh Green announced the statewide suspension of non-essential State services on Friday. Employees who have not been directed to work will be authorized Administrative Leave on Friday, March 13, 2026. Departmental Disaster/Emergency Coordinators, Disaster Response Workers, and Employees whose work involves continuing crucial operations/services should check with their supervisors regarding whether they are required to report to work. See below for clarification:
- Employees who work on Friday, March 13, 2026 shall not be granted equivalent time off at a later date.
- Employees who are on approved leave (including sick leave or vacation leave) or are on their scheduled day off shall not be granted equivalent time off at a later date.
- Hourly paid employees scheduled to work shall not be entitled to administrative leave and should not report to or remain at work except for employees who are designated to report to or remain at work.
The University of Hawai'‘i (UH) recently reminded employees of their obligations to safeguard Protected Data (as defined in EP 2.214) entrusted to them, including data protected under HRS Chapter 487N and other privacy and security requirements. These obligations also apply to PCSU/RCUH employees working on and/or in support of UH research projects.
